EXPERIMENTS IN CLAY
Experiments in Clay showcase works from current RMCAD students and alumni featuring a variety of making methods. From wheel-thrown vessels, hand-built objects, alternate materials incorporated into raw clay, and more, this exhibition displays the versatility of ceramics and how each individual utilizes the material to make it their own. The fragility and precarity of precious childhood objects converse with items steeped in history, both intertwining a haunting quality of memory. Traditional vessels are reimagined to expand conversations about the dangers of human curiosity, while functional pieces remind us of the beauty found in small moments of life
